Funeral Service All-rounder A unique opportunity has become available within our family-owned funeral home. We are looking for a long-term team member to join us in Mosgiel, serving our local community and the greater Otago region. To fit within our team, you will need to be well presented, physically fit, a great communicator, empathetic and well organised. Ideally you will have worked within the funeral industry, but the right candidate will be given full training from our experienced team.  Excellent communication skills, time management and computer literacy are essential in all aspects of this role. We are a 24/7 operation so the demands will be significant as the role progresses. You will need to be able to slot into an existing roster system that includes afterhours and weekend work. One of your regular working days will be a Saturday so please do not apply if this would not fit into your world. A professional attitude and a genuine commitment to provide a meaningful service experience to bereaved families and anyone who engages with our business, are all key attributes for the successful candidate. Other essential skills/requirements: Competent in handling and processing personal information with a high level of confidentialityAble to interact professionally and respectfully with a wide range of peopleConfident in your ability to think on your feet and use initiative under pressureConfident AV tech user and knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite would be advantageous but not essential. New Zealand residency or a valid NZ Work Visa and a full, clean NZ driver's licensePrepared to operate crematorDesirable skills: Existing experience in Funeral Directing and use of FreeDAM funeral support software.
