Funeral Home Receptionist and Follow-Up SpecialistThe role is based in Porirua and is a full-time position from 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Some after-hours on-call assistance may be required from time to time.Duties & Responsibilities:Receiving telephone calls and escalating urgent matters as appropriate.Recording and distributing incoming messages.Completing all data entry and documentation activities generated from funeral arrangements.Assisting with accounts payable.Printing relevant paperwork and preparing files for the funeral directors.Responding to family requests, including providing appropriate information, assisting with the coordination of viewings, handing over ashes, and offering refreshments.Welcoming families and visitors.Ensuring the reception area, viewing rooms, and chapel are tidy and clean.Assisting in the preparation and distribution of information.Providing general administrative support.Ensuring all movements of ashes are accurately recorded and kept up to date.Aftercare service for families, including follow-ups and assisting with further requests and/or documentation as required.Preparing service sheets and slideshow presentations; graphic design experience would be an advantage.Providing general assistance to the funeral directors as required.Assisting with vehicle fleet management.Assisting with casket trimming (training will be provided).To be successful in this role, you will have:Exceptional customer service experience.A high level of computer literacy.A high level of personal presentation.Previous administration/reception experience.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a receptionist?Do you have customer service experience?Do you have experience in administration?Do you have data entry experience?How many years of graphic design experience do you have?
