Details of the offer

About Us: Christchurch Aunties is a dedicated not for profit organisation committed to supporting women as they leave family harm. We are a network of over 6500 people helping women and children in Christchurch, Ashburton, and the Waimakariri and Selwyn Districts who have experienced family harm, have been displaced, and who are in immediate need. Our vision is a Canterbury where all women and children who have been exposed to abuse and family harm, are safe, well supported, and resourced, through the family harm agencies we collaborate with. Last year we supported 5000 women with essential goods. Our kaupapa and mahi are simple: Get basic, essential stuff to women and their families, quickly and seamlessly. It is a helping hand in their goal to change theirs and their families' futures. We support sixteen agencies, who send us requests for household goods that are required when a woman leaves a family harm situation, we then mobilise our Aunties network who always provide. We pick-up the goods return them to our HQ, our volunteers then wash, clean, sort pack and deliver to the agencies.
