MB Funds is a Christchurch-based licensed investment management company involved in funds management, including superannuation schemes.As part of an expanding group, we are seeking a talented and experienced fund administrator to join our small, busy team based in Christchurch. This is a broad role that will see the successful candidate support the growing operations of our business. Responsibilities will include administrative and compliance functions within the business as well as the wider reporting function within the fund's management environment.The applicant's key accountabilities are:Administration of the superannuation schemes and lending business funds administered by the group.Processing applications, switches and withdrawals.Client on-boarding and assisting with AML monitoring and securing all required documentation.Instructing trades and cash movements between the custodian and investment manager.Liaison with NZ and overseas-based scheme members, the supervisor, FA's, and administrators.Facilitation of queries from fund investors.Office management.General administration.Adherence to procedures and policies, and preparation of procedural updates.Support of the business accounting function, where required.Knowledge and experience:An experienced administrator with strong all-round skills and a sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software.Experience with Xero would be an advantage.Prior experience in fund administration is not essential, but would be an advantage.A general understanding of corporate structures and funds management.The skill to review and update documentation.Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Strong attention to detail.Clean police record.Organised and structured.Personal attributes:Imperative that you enjoy developing external relationships and can interact credibly and comfortably with senior stakeholders.Detail-oriented.Friendly and outgoing personality.Honest, sincere, and reliable at all times.Enthusiastic and tenacious with drive and energy.Professional attitude to clients and colleagues.Independent decision maker, able to use initiative and make recommendations.Good written and oral communicator.Team player – suited to working in a small team.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in the office environment.Eligible to work in NZ (must be a citizen, permanent resident, or on a current work visa).We are seeking to fill this role in early January 2025 and are looking to interview as soon as possible. This is a full-time position.
