You will lead the Functions team who are the central hub of our extensive function catering operation, reporting to the Head of Events and Functions.About the RoleYour key focus is to project manage and lead Montana Food and Events functions, grow our business revenue and maintain key relationships. This includes liaising with our clients and ensuring our functions team meet customer requirements and catering instructions, in a professional and timely manner.You will be based at Montana Group Head Office – Claudelands Events Centre, Hamilton. The position is a full-time salaried role. Your hours of work will normally be forty hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive. However, in order to perform the requirements of the role effectively, some flexibility is required.About YouIf you are right for this role, you have:Experience and knowledge of catering and function management including dealing with key partners, PCOs, clients and venuesA proven track record in leadership: coaching and teaching skills with individuals, and teamsExperience in sales and growing revenueThe ability to proactively solve problems and work independently and/or in teams, effectively and efficiently with limited supervisionA proven ability to manage budgets, utilise financial modelling and reporting(software) platforms, and meet financial goalsThe ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and interact with all levels and functions within the organizationExcellent project management and organisational skills. You get things done to deadline and you ensure others do tooStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsStrong attention to detailA sense of humour and great inter-personal skills.About UsWe are the largest privately owned catering company in New Zealand.
