Te tunga | The role As a Full Stack Developer (FSD), you will primarily work with Azure PaaS technologies and modern development frameworks to develop and maintain web applications. Your role will involve ensuring high performance and responsiveness on both the front-end and back-end. Collaborating closely with our product team, you will deliver robust and scalable software solutions, leveraging your expertise in Azure PaaS technologies and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will also utilize your understanding of CI/CD pipelines and proficiency in building APIs and web applications in C#. Experience with front-end frameworks like React is a plus.
Maritime New Zealand is undergoing a Digital Transformation, changing the way we communicate with our sector through defined digital processes. You will support the ongoing development of our Integrations Platform (known as the 'Brains') and the Workflow Engine, both essential parts of our enterprise solution. Close collaboration with the product team will be necessary to develop both front-end and back-end components of the web portal, which will be utilised by the Integrations Platform.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all work from the product team's MyMNZ backlog aligns with requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Additionally, you will implement user interfaces based on standards and practices established by Maritime's Enterprise Architecture function, such as the Design System developed by the vendor.
Essential skills and experience: Experience creating Azure resources using a form of IAC (Either ARM, Bicep, or Terraform. Bicep preferred)Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Including Azure Devops or similar, and automating Azure tasks with Powershell)Experience building APIs and web applications in C#3+ years in React development.Great to have but not essential: Experience building component based front ends in React (Including usage of Vite, Rollup, Storybook, React Query, Zustand)Experience with Azure Logic Apps and their related components (API/Service Connections, Consumption vs Standard Logic Apps)Experience testing component-based development/design systems built in React/Storybook.Experience with visual testing tools such as Chromatic.Be part of a priority program of work that will have a lasting impact on how MNZ receives notifications and enquiries.Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about maritime safety and environmental protection.Work in a flexible and supportive environment.Contribute to the safety and sustainability of New Zealand's maritime industry.Overall, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking government agency and make a real impact on New Zealand's maritime community.This is an hourly rate contract.
