We are looking for people to join our team, starting from October 29th. Being part of a supervised team, you will be removing excess fruitlets from trees so that the remaining ones grow large enough. Work involves using ladders. It is physically demanding work, so you must be confident in your base level of fitness to apply. Any previous orchard, farm work, or labouring experience would be an advantage but is not essential. As you will be working up a ladder, you must be comfortable with heights. You need to be fit and healthy! The work is quite repetitive, so you will need the ability to self-motivate to achieve goals and manage yourself when the work is physically demanding. You may be required to work Saturdays if the weather is unfavourable during the week. A normal workday will be between 8.00am and 5.00pm. This may vary depending on the workload. Fixed-term work from 16th October till late December. You will need to provide bank and IRD details. You will be paid an hourly rate of $23.15 plus 8% holiday pay. Accommodation is available on the orchard, located near Roxburgh. Cost is $18 per night per person in a twin share room. Full facilities provided - kitchen, laundry, bathroom.
