The Godley Hotel Tekapo is an iconic property in the heart of Lake Tekapo less than 100 meters from the lake. It has 60 rooms, Jack Rabbit Café, Conference Facilities and two brand new sister properties in the village this role will be responsible for. You'll be at the forefront of creating exceptional guest experiences, leading by example and driving the Front Office team to deliver above and beyond every day.What You'll Do:Be the face of the hotel – ensure every guest feels welcome, valued, and cared for from check-in to check-outLead, inspire, and mentor a passionate team, fostering a culture of excellence and growthCollaborate with the Operations Manager to optimise day-to-day operations and enhance the guest journeyResolve guest enquiries and issues with efficiency and flair, turning challenges into opportunities for wow momentsHandle all aspects of reservationsMonitor and manage the front office performance, keeping an eye on both the details and the bigger pictureDrive guest satisfaction by maintaining impeccable service standards and continuously innovating new ways to delight guestsClosely monitor budgets, expenditure, and revenue to make informed operational decisions and achieve financial objectivesBe on call for emergencies once or twice a weekWhat We're Looking For:A minimum of 2 years' leadership experience in Front Office (Front Office Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager or Operations Manager)A charismatic leader with a passion for people and serviceProven ability to train, motivate, and inspire a team to deliver outstanding guest experiencesStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay cool under pressureExcellent communication and organizational skillsProficiency in using reservation and property management systems is a plusFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidaysWe offer an excellent working environment, uniform, negotiable salary, staff discounts and the possibility of staff accommodation, along with the opportunity for on-going learning and development.
