We are seeking a dedicated Front Office/ Receptionist who wants to apply their skills in running an exciting developing accommodation business in Auckland.
You will organize and control the operations of the motels to provide guest accommodation and manage all other day-to-day activities to ensure the smooth and profitable running of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Manage motel daily activities, reception, and housekeeping; organize the staff shift and roster.
Direct and oversee reservations and the reception area.
Manage advertising for new staff and provide training for both reception and housekeeping.
Ensure rooms and motels are cleaned and maintained by the housekeeping team to defined standards.
Organize and control the work of the organization providing accommodation and services to customers.
Assist General Manager/Senior Management with tasks related to motel operations.
Ensure guests have an exceptional experience when dealing with the business, responding to queries in a professional and timely manner.
Assess and review customer satisfaction and monitor guest feedback on OTAs, etc.
Ensure room allocations and inventory are accurately maintained to maximize bookings; liaise with guests and handle complaints; perform check-ins and check-outs.
Develop and ensure profitable revenue for the business, including maximizing margins, providing feedback and solutions on monthly results, wage costs, cost of sales, placing orders, and tracking inventory.
Oversee accounting and purchasing activities.
Promote and sell accommodation and services to customers, monitoring and adjusting room rates to increase profit and maximize benefits.
Ensure all charges are collected and reservations administered; audit all revenue and charges; manage accounts.
Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agents, group bookings, and internet profiling.
Ensure the accommodation units are maintained to a high standard by completing room checks and ensuring maintenance activities are actioned.
Provide guests with local tourism information and arrange transportation.
Conduct audits on par stock in all areas to ensure that all required motel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need.
Ensure effective, timely, and accurate communication flow about motel policies and procedures.
Supervise and manage all maintenance contacts such as electricians, plumbers, and IT technicians.
Supervise security arrangements, and garden and property maintenance.
Follow safe regulations and policies to ensure security arrangements protect employees and motel properties; be familiar with the master security system and alarms, including fire alarms.
Minimum Requirements:

Previous work experience in hotel/motel is required.
Customer service experience is essential.
