Based in Hamilton since their inception, this long-standing company has continued to expand their facilities to cope with demand for their products.
With a dedicated R&D team, the company continues to develop and formulate novel pharmaceutical products for the animal health sector.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is based in Hamilton and is not suitable for remote/hybrid applicants.
Working as part of the R&D team, and led by the Lead Scientist, this close-knit team is critical in the development of novel product formulations as well as product delivery systems.
This means you, the incumbent will be working hands-on with the design, development and optimization of new product formulations, ensuring that the final product meets all critical requirements for ease of use, effectiveness, product safety and of course regulatory requirements.
As such, we are looking for the successful person to have a suitable qualification (Masters or PhD) in pharmaceutical sciences or similar, and at least a year in commercial scientific R&D with exposure to pharmaceutical product development.
Equally, experience or knowledge in a cGMP/cGLP environment, with an appreciation of the regulatory requirements for products in this sector would be a benefit.
More critically are your communication skills with the need to work and communicate effectively across the business, write clear and concise reports and recommendations, and flexibility to work to the needs of the business.
We seek applicants with: PhD or Masters in a relevant pharmaceutical science or technology At least 1 year pharmaceutical formulation experience Fundamental understanding of pharmaceutical sciences Innovative thinking along with the ability to work under strict protocols and regulations.
Excellent written and spoken English and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
Excellent computer literacy including MS Office.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability A highly professional manner A strong work ethic Organised and effective time management skills The ability to fit in well in a small team.
