You will be leading the Carpentry team from the front, using your experience to ensure high levels of quality and customer engagement.This is your chance to join a growing carpentry team and grow your career along with it.About the Role:Act as the first point of contact for escalations – technical and safety.Champion C&W safety management systems.Conduct safety spot checks.On the tools duties.Conduct completed works spot checks.Approve SWMS and other safety documentation prior to job start.Managing minor work projects, ensuring they are delivered to required budget, quality, and timeframes.Managing close out documentation including variations and reconciliations.Liaising with clients, our in-house Trades team and subcontractor networking.Some management of minor works projects may be required, during peaks.About You:Qualified BuilderLicensed Building PractitionerPeople management experience is an advantage.Experienced builder, minimum 5 years being qualified.Estimating experience is a bonus, but training can be provided to the right candidate.Site Safe Gold Card, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms highly desirable.Computer literate – MS Word, Excel and Outlook.A good communicator, both written and oral.Able to meet deadlines and work with a high level of autonomy.Ability to work as part of a team.Knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety.You must have good (English) written and oral communication skills and have proven experience dealing with clients in a professional manner.Why join Cushman & Wakefield?Free Life Insurance.Free Income replacement insurance.Discounted Medical cover with Southern Cross.Access to Marram Trust holiday / medical program.Health & Safety is a priority for Cushman & Wakefield, and the successful candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of the H&S requirements and behaviors in a commercial environment.
