Food Technologist

Are you great at creating new products for New Zealand markets? Do you have expert knowledge of food technology in the further processing industry?
If so, Source & Supply Food Co. would love to talk to you about your experience as a food technologist /meat technologist. The role is sole charge and will see products through from concept to commercialisation, as well as optimise existing products.  
Key responsibilities include:
Research trends in ingredients and productsNew Product DevelopmentFactory & test kitchen trialsRecipe & process optimisationProblem-solve quality issuesYield controlTraining & development support to the production teamCost modelling (with the finance team).Ensure compliance (with the quality team). NIPs, PIFs, legal compliance.  The role is full-time Monday - Friday. Flexibility is available around hours but generally the factory starts at 7am. 
 What you will bring to the role                              A relevant tertiary qualification5 years minimum experience as a Food Technologist in the smallgoods industry or drygoods functional blends supplier to the smallgoods industry.Experience working in a smallgoods plantExperience with formulation optimisationExperience with formulation of new products.Self-motivated and enjoy your work!For more information please apply with a CV and cover letter outlining why you would be a great fit for this role.
