Our network covers virtually all the Asian grocery retail stores and supermarkets, as well as many restaurants, throughout New Zealand.We believe in our people and strive to build a cohesive working environment.The successful candidate will need to meet the following requirements for the role:Food Safety & QualityOversee food safety and quality using key concepts of Food Safety Monitoring.Design and/or develop and implement an effective food safety program.Implement a management process that identifies and manages existing product defects and put in place quality control measures to ensure that products conform with regulatory requirements and food safety standards.Ensure the appointment of an MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) approved Transitional Facilities, and that the facility meet the standards set out by MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries).Inventory/Products/Items/StockEnsure quality control and quality assurance by performing ongoing and frequent reviews.Assist with additional requests to support verification and or validations of new products or processes.WarehouseProvide support in External and Internal audits.Implement and maintain the Audit Specifications Sheets.Administration/ReportingAssist in closing out audit on non-conformance reports.Investigate non-conformances and root-cause analysis and quality issues.Provide analytical and/or technical support to restore control when a non-conformance is reported.Implement and ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken.Attend to customer complaints.Maintain a site Document Control.Document SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) specific to ECLY Ltd's standard operations.TrainingContinuously verify the level of training of all team members in relation to quality and safety and provide training and support to team members on quality assurance practices.Compile all training manuals for SOPs and other relevant Food Safety related training.GeneralCollaborate with all relevant stakeholders and/or team members to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting product quality.Implement a hygiene audit to examine ECLY Ltd's cleanliness and sanitation practices.Act as Sanitation Auditor when doing internal hygiene audits.Be responsible for scheduling regular internal hygiene audits.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree related to food or scientific principles that can translate to the food sector.Training in compliance fundamental skills.Work experience in regulatory compliance.Experience in an FMCG environment.Knowledge of the Food Act 2014 and associated legislation.Must be proficient in Mandarin.2-3 years of relevant experience.SkillsSkills specific to food investigations under the Food Act 2014 and associated legislation.Knowledge of the Food Act 2014.Food Regulations 2015.Food Notices 2015.The Food Standard Code 2002.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software, including BC (Business Central).
