Role Overview: We are seeking a Full-Time Food & Beverage Duty Manager.
They will have responsibility for the Food and Beverage Operations and the conference and events space at the hotel.
They will lead and direct the operations, ensuring quality service and standards are maintained to deliver a memorable guest experience, always following government regulations concerning health, safety, or other requirements.
Reporting to the Assistant Hotel Manager, the Food & Beverage Duty Manager is responsible for leading by example and developing their service team as assets for the Food & Beverage and Conferencing areas.
This role will be working on a 7-day, 24-hour roster, 30 hours per week minimum to a maximum of 55 hours per week.
The hourly wage for this role is $29.66 - $31.61 per hour.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence: Perform and coordinate all food & beverage and conference and events duties as required.
Supervise Food & Beverage team.
Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure all areas are in working orders, and with the Housekeeping team to keep the premises immaculate.
Training & Development: Assist in training the Food and Beverage team and influence them to deliver excellent service.
Record Keeping: Maintain attendance records and help with roster creation.
Guest Satisfaction: Assess customer satisfaction and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
Problem Solving: Collaborate with teams across the hotel to find effective solutions.
Safety Management: Enforce health and safety procedures, lead emergency procedures, and handle evacuations.
Alcohol Service: Manage the service of alcohol in accordance with operational requirements.
What We're Looking For: Experience: At least 1 year experience working as a Duty Manager or Conference and Events Coordinator or in similar roles.
Skills: Professional and personable with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Strong decision-making skills, excellent customer service, and effective communication are essential.
Qualifications: Diploma in Hotel Management Liquor and have or be able to obtain a Liquor Licence Controller Qualification.
Legal Requirements: Must meet the appropriate legal requirements to work in New Zealand.
