Floor Installer

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
The position is responsible for the following:
 
Clean and prepare construction sites for carpet, laminate, vinyl, and tiles installation .
Unloads and loads materials, tools, and equipment, and assists skilled tradesmen with their work whenever necessary .
 
 
 
Tasks Include:
 
 
•      etting  up  the  job  site  and  preparing  the  surface  and  layouts  with  the instruction of the skilled tradesmen
•      Cutting and shaping floor covering materials to the specification
•      Cleaning the construction sites for floor covering
•      Setting up the underlay materials
•      Laying, fitting, installing,and repairing floors using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools
•       Helping skilled tradesmen with their work whenever necessary
•     Identifying hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair
•       Loading or unloading building supplies, materials, and tools
•       Using equipment, machinery & tools in a responsible & safe manner
•       Follow safety rules and regulations to complete jobs in a safe manner
•      Clean job site once the work is done and clean tools
