Hireace focuses on commercial vehicle and trailer hire, while Bargain Rentals specialises in car hire services.The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Fleet Operations Manager to establish and maintain efficient systems and procedures for managing and administering the vehicle fleet of Hireace and Bargain Rentals. The primary objective is to optimise fleet utilisation while minimising maintenance costs. Ensuring the safety of all rental vehicles by adhering to industry best practices and policies is essential. This role also involves overseeing the management of the company's employee-owned vehicles to ensure smooth and productive operations.Key Responsibilities:Develop a fleet strategy for the businessEnsure the efficient running of the company fleet for both customers and employeesOptimise utilisation rates by having the right fleet at the right branch at all timesEnsure all required vehicle paperwork is carried by all branches and filed appropriatelyVerify that all vehicles meet health and safety and compliance standards before rentalManage, monitor, and reduce maintenance expenditureEstablish best practices and competitive pricing with suppliersImplement regular audits across all branchesTrain staff in fleet procedures and be available to offer advice and guidanceManage best practices and productivity within our workshopsResponsible for the sale of the fleet when requiredThis role is of significant importance to the company, so we need a candidate who can demonstrate strong leadership skills, communication and professionalism. Responsibilities include developing workshop systems, submitting regular reports, planning preventive maintenance, and being budget savvy by ensuring budget adherence. As the primary contact for all fleet-related matters, you will support workshops and branches through regular visits, audits, training, and providing guidance and leadership.
