ELIZABETH FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT 146 N Elbert St. Elizabeth, Colorado 80107 303-646-3800 Job Announcement: Firefighter Hiring List Employment Status: At-Will FLSA Status: Non-Exempt The Elizabeth Fire Protection District is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter and for inclusion on the District's hiring list. This list will remain active for one year and will be used for any future full-time and part-time openings based on ranking and eligibility. The Elizabeth Fire Protection District is a progressive and family-oriented organization committed to its members and employees. The area is experiencing rapid growth, with the population expected to double over the next two decades. Competitive wages and excellent benefits are prioritized to accommodate this growth. Requirements: All candidates must complete the FireTeam test through the National Testing Network (NTN). Reserve employees will have their test fees covered by the District. Candidates must possess an EMT-B Certification and a current Firefighter I certificate at the time of hire. Candidates must obtain and maintain a valid C-PAT or E-PAT (Elizabeth Physical Ability Test) certification. Outside applicants must submit an application, resume, cover letter, and a letter of approval from their current organization. They must also take the FireTeam test. Inside applicants need to email their intent to join the hiring list to the District's Director of Human Resources. Hiring Process Timeline: FireTeam Test Window: Open Application, Resume, and Intent Deadline: Open Oral Boards: Open Hiring List Finalized: Open Conditional Offer Requirements: Background investigation, including criminal history Medical examination Illegal drug/alcohol testing The District reserves the right to modify the job description and hiring process at its discretion. The position is at-will, allowing either the District or the employee to terminate the employment relationship at any time. The District prioritizes hiring qualified candidates from within its volunteer, reserve, and active retiree programs whenever possible, but it retains the right to hire from outside the District when necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
