Fire Modeling Consultant

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada We are looking for an experienced Fire Modeling Consultant who thrives on diverse challenges and brings a positive attitude, a hunger for learning, and excellent communication skills to the table.
The primary focus of this position is to conduct egress and fire modeling services across various projects.
This entails providing comprehensive reports and technical letters to support analysis while collaborating effectively with project teams, clients, and relevant authorities.
Responsibilities: Design and provide egress and fire modeling services for various projects.
Manage small to mid-sized projects, overseeing project deliverables, schedules, and administration.
Collaborate with internal and external teams for project-related communications and deliverables.
Communicate with clients and approving authorities regarding code compliance strategies and fire performance designs through reports, technical letters, presentations, and opinions.
Conduct site inspections and attend project meetings.
Perform drawing reviews of design drawings for code compliance and identification of fire and life safety systems.
Prepare proposals and fee estimates, including conducting research, calculating project costs, and determining client requirements.
Produce code reports and other technical documentation based on project requirements.
Develop and support fire performance initiatives within the company.
Provide fire modeling/egress modeling training to staff.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science, preferably in a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience, including expertise in fire and egress modeling projects, familiarity with fire and building codes, and experience in training junior staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant fire modeling software such as Fire Dynamics Simulator and Pathfinder.
Strong communication skills and competency in Word and Excel are essential, while experience with Bluebeam is advantageous.
The base salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $160,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
The bonus package includes performance bonuses, relocation allowance, and VISA sponsorship.
