We are needing a Fire Equipment Technician to join our Whangarei team!

What we offer: Fulltime Permanent employment Company vehicle, smartphone, laptop, and uniform Ongoing training and opportunities for professional development and upskilling What you will do: Sell and service Fire Equipment, providing training and related products to existing and prospective customers including commercial, industrial, governmental, and other organisations.
Maintain and develop existing customer relationships and ensure all work meets agreed quality standards.
Attain budgeted sales and service targets, focusing on selling or promoting training internally and externally at agreed price structures.
How you will do it: Test and service all Fire Equipment to NZS 4503: 2005 and related standards, surveying sites to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standard before certification.
Minimise site hazards and risks through correct training procedures, ensuring safety equipment is recommended/used and maintained to relevant NZ standards and Health & Safety requirements.
Assess site hazards, check current site procedures, and make recommendations in line with NZ Standards and Health and Safety requirements.
Liaise with organisations and fire services on trial evacuations.
Examine/assess protective equipment used, advising on the correct type and manner of use.
Ensure all customer inquiries and orders are dealt with and completed in a timely manner.
What we look for: Proven sales and servicing experience with a mechanical background is preferable.
Experience in the Fire Protection industry is an advantage.
Experience as a Fire/Emergency Trainer is an advantage.
Ability to offer correct advice in line with the relevant standards.
