We have an opportunity for a Fire Alarms Systems Designer to join our Auckland team!

What you will do: Provide design drawings and material listings for fire protection projects in accordance with the relevant standards and specifications relating to the project and to contribute to the improvement of the Company's image by promoting our services through professional and reliable representation
How you will do it: Maintain the highest level of service both to internal and external clients
Ensure all work carried out meets agreed quality standards, specifications and complies with NZ Building Code, NZ Standards and other relevant statutory authority's requirements
Adhere to company systems and procedures, health and safety requirements and quality policies at all times, including New Zealand safety standards
Represent Wormald in a professional manner with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, Third Party Inspection Agency (Aon etc.), and Fire and Emergency NZ (FENZ)
Gain full understanding of project requirements including the relevant specifications
Provide and submit paperwork for Territorial Authority's, Aon etc. and FENZ approvals where required
Provide detailed AutoCad drawings for projects, which meet with our internal and external requirements. Including coordination with other trades as directed by the contract
Provide technical assistance, advice and backup on all designed projects
What we look for? Full Driver's license
Previous Fire Alarm design or installation experience required to NZS4512
Must be aware of and understand New Zealand Fire Alarm Standard (NZS4512)
High level of communication skills both written and verbal, specifically when relating to clients
Previous theoretical and or practical engineering experience an advantage
Legal right to work in New Zealand
