Financial Controller - Part-Time

A publicly listed company responsible for the installation, commissioning, and support of hardware and software ITS solutions in the transport sector. Connexionz has a very loyal and international customer base. About the Role The company is seeking a dynamic and experienced part-time Financial Controller to manage all financial aspects. This role involves overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. You will play a key role in strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations. Key responsibilities include: Preparing timely and accurate financial statements and reports. Developing annual budgets and financial plans. Managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and financial policies. Providing financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Overseeing international funds management and tax compliance, including NZ, US, and transfer pricing. Overseeing a bid team as they coordinate responses to RFPs. Overseeing HR functions including the processing of expense claims. About You The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. You will have: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA or equivalent qualification required. Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief accountant, or similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Experience with project accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel and Microsoft Dynamics. The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience with a sophisticated financial reporting package, ensuring proper implementation and use. A minimum of 5-10 years' experience as a senior financial manager. Manufacturing and international experience is preferred. Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills. The role is expected to be part-time (approximately 24 hours a week) with somewhat flexible work hours. While there is a strong preference for being present in the Company's Head Office, certain aspects of the role may be performed from a home office.
