Working in a close-knit team, you will report to the Managing Director. The core focus of this role is financial & management accounting, commercial management (insurance, leases), statutory filing and payroll Management. However, this is a broad ranging role that will also provide management and HR Support across the business.The position would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys both strategic commercial work and hands on day to day financial and management accounting tasks.Your New Role: As our Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organization, taking a strong commercial outlook to leading our finance functions, guiding strategic financial planning, and ensuring the overall financial health of the company. Your role will include: Key Responsibilities: Financial and management accounting: maintaining ledgers, annual and monthly financial reporting. Management Support: providing leadership support to the wider team and Managing Director, including taking the lead on some people management matters Commercial Support: liaising with insurance brokers, lawyers, banks and other relevant parties to maintain business compliance and progress key projects Statutory filing: GST, FBT, PAYE, NRWT, DWT, Statistics and ACC returns. Payroll Management About you:The position would suit an experienced professional with well-rounded finance and commercial experience and sound judgement.
