Chief Financial Officer

Midlands Funds Management is based in Hawkes Bay and manages a retail mortgage PIE fund and a wholesale mortgage PIE fund.
The Midlands funds invest in loans secured by first mortgage over residential, commercial, and rural land and buildings throughout New Zealand.
We are seeking a CFO with strong interpersonal skills who can operate, contribute, and lead in a small high performing team environment.
You will regularly present at Board meetings, investor events, supervisor and regulator meetings, and represent and advocate for Midlands at industry level.
This role will be suited to those experienced in leading the finance function of a regulated financing company.
Mortgage lending industry experience would be beneficial, and CA qualification essential.Reporting to the CEO, this hands-on role will see you leading; finance operations, internal and external reporting, financial planning & analysis, cashflow and liquidity management, compliance, and strategy.
In addition, you will lead corporate consolidation growth initiatives.
The CFO must maintain focus on; controls, best practice, continuous improvement, financial discipline, and above all else achieving targets.
We are looking for a leader with strong commercial awareness, and the ability to drive business efficiencies.
Strengths in managing relationships with external providers and business partners is essential.
And strong financial modeling experience is required as a key tool for building and leading strategy.
