Financial Administration Officer

Here is a great opportunity to join a team of young, creative architectural professionals in Freemans Bay, Ponsonby. We are a medium-sized team of architects, architectural technicians, and architectural graduates. We are currently involved in exciting residential and interior projects across high-end residential, multi-unit developments, and apartments.
 
About the role
 
We are looking for a financial administration officer to join our busy and growing architectural practice. You will join a young and enthusiastic team, and in this environment, you can continue to learn and develop your skills. 
 
Location of Work: Auckland  
Type of employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week 
Days required: Monday – Friday
Pay: $30 - $33 per hour, based on qualification and experience  
 
Responsibilities:
·      Recording financial transactions and balancing the books
·      Cross-referencing the books against bank statements and other source documents to confirm accuracy
·      Creating and sending invoices, and following up to get them paid
·      Making sure invoices from suppliers are accurate and paid in a timely manner
·      Calculating pay and deductions
·      Filing GST returns and income returns
·      Producing annual profit and loss and balance sheet report
·      Summarising and analyzing the business's financial position
·      Creating budgets and forecasts, and advising on how to improve the business.
·      Other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you from time to time
 
Key skills required:
·      Relevant bachelor's degree or above, or at least three years of relevant experience 
·      Strong communication and time management skills
·      Motivated and with a good understanding of the real estate industry 
·      Good oral and written Mandarin will be required as the majority of our clients are from China
