JVNZ is the leading on-demand customised imaging products manufacturer based in Auckland and Melbourne, serving both NZ and AUS markets through B2B and B2C channels. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Admin Officer to join our team in Auckland. This permanent, full-time role involves managing a comprehensive range of accounting functions for the company in New Zealand and our subsidiary in Australia. Key responsibilities include: Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements for both companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Account Management: Oversee accounts receivable and payable for the both companies. Utilize Xero accounting software to manage financial transactions, generate reports, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Payroll Management: Handle payroll processing for employees in both countries, ensuring compliance with employment laws and tax regulations. Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations for New Zealand and Australia accounts to maintain accurate and timely financial records. Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including PAYE, GST (NZ), and BAS (AU), ensuring compliance with local tax regulations in both countries. Internal Audit: Conduct internal audits of production stock counts to ensure accuracy and adherence to inventory management protocols. External Liaison: Work closely with external Chartered Accountants and auditors to address accounting and taxation matters for both New Zealand and Australia operations. Management Support: Regularly review and analyse existing accounting processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement. Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, cashflows and financial forecasts for internal decision-making and liaising with stakeholders across the business. Preferred Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting / Financial Administration experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Technical Skills: Advance proficiency in Xero system, Unleashed Inventory Software and MS Excel, with experience in managing accounting systems and payroll. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, payroll processing, and data entry. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial information, address billing issues with customers, and collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders. Work Environment: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
