THE ROLE You will be a high calibre, finance and payroll expert, an experienced people leader with a demonstrated history of managing large payrolls accurately and efficiently while working through all things financial. This is a complex role with the ability to manage operational and strategic elements. You will also be responsible for providing reporting assistance to the Company CFO based in Australia. As a key part of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our financial processes operate in an accurate and timely manner. This is a busy and varied role that covers reporting, forecasts, planning, payroll, banking administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax calculations and reconciliations just to name a few. You will be a strong communicator, with the ability to build relationships quickly. Because you get to join a team that is future focused, you will lead, train and develop your team to proactively share information and process knowledge with them to drive forward the business. ABOUT YOU You are passionate and driven finance professional with a desire to join an inclusive senior leadership team where you will have a seat at the table. You will have the personal drive to not only take on this role but have the aspirations and drive to grow with the business, providing people and functional leadership as the business continues to grow over the medium to longer term. KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Experience operating with MYOB and Pronto systems is preferred and would be a distinct advantage. Advanced MS Office Suite. Ability to think critically, analytically and problem solve under pressure. Passionate about coaching and mentoring. Strong ability to think strategically and translate this into operational plans and actions. High learning agility. Strong work ethic. Team focused and thrive in a collaborative culture. Advanced communication skills with the ability to build working relationships from field based employees to Board level. Results focused. Highly developed ability to sustain mental and physical resilience. YOU WILL HAVE Relevant degree, in Finance, Accounting or related business discipline. People management with a track record of building high performing teams. Experience working in the construction or infrastructure sector preferred complex understanding of payroll legislation for New Zealand including the Holidays Act.
