Finance Manager – Taumutu Runanga

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to support the financial wellbeing of Taumutu Runanga Limited.
As Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing key financial functions such as accurate reporting, cash flow management, payroll, accounts payable, and tax compliance as a key member of the management team. Your insights will support strategic decision-making, working closely with the CEO, Pou Director, and other key stakeholders; with responsibilities ranging from budget management to external funding and financial relationship management, this is an excellent opportunity to use your attention to detail and expertise to contribute to the long-term success and strategic vision of Ngai Te Ruahikihiki ki Taumutu.
At least 5 years of experience in finance administration, with expertise in financial management, budget planning, variance reporting, and contract management, and a solid understanding of New Zealand financial regulations, tax compliance, and audit processes.
Demonstrated experience in setting financial strategies, providing financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making at various organisational levels.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities, ensuring deadlines are met.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial software, particularly Xero and Smartly, and payment approval systems.
Strong cultural competency and a commitment to the values of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, and kaitiakitanga.
Knowledge of Te Reo Maori and tikanga is highly valued, with a willingness to embrace and grow in your cultural understanding of te ao Maori.
