We are a large profitable manufacturing site in the Central North Island, having just completed a significant $100m programme upgrade.
Our Kawerau saw milling operation employs over 180 people and is led by an exceptional Site Manager committed to the site's success and driving a performance-based environment where agile thinking, sharing of ideas and the ability to take calculated risks are encouraged.
A solid chunk of your monthly tasks will be a mix of financial and management accounting and interpretation of financial information.
Initially your challenge will be getting your head around our business, understanding the operations, various systems and processes and managing the month end process.
You'll have the support and guidance of our head office finance team.
Once you're up to speed there is ample opportunity to look for improvements which will have you working alongside your colleagues, actively contributing to problem solving, change management processes and ensuring the visibility of the numbers to assist the team in making sound business decisions to ultimately support effective operational performance.
It's envisaged you'll be an energetic, well rounded and a strongly driven candidate; CA qualified with a work history that displays your career progression through the ranks.
Currently you may be in a finance manager or senior accounting role and someone competent of understanding business drivers with exceptional skills communicating at all levels and influencing beneficial outcomes.
You'll be someone looking for an opportunity to take that next step to use your talent in predicting results and be value focused, as well as keeping score.
Exposure to manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
This role will give you the scope to make it your own.
