Finance Manager - Insurance

Full time Our client, a subsidiary of a well regarded group, is a leading insurance provider committed to delivering excellent service and protection to clients. Due to consistent growth, they are looking to expand their senior team and appoint a dedicated Finance Manager to look after the organization's financial requirements. We are seeking an experienced individual with a background in regulatory filings and collaboration with actuaries. This role is ideal for a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and control all cash movements between the subsidiary and the Group. Support the CEO with financial analysis, providing monthly reports and recommendations. Act as a key member of the senior management team. Manage all internal and external reporting, including regulatory submissions. Conduct cash flow forecasting, monthly results analysis, and regular forecasting. Oversee the annual budgeting process. Review premium rates, pricing, and risk rating. Ensure compliance with both the subsidiary and Group policies, including delegated authorities. Serve as the direct point of contact for the appointed actuary and liaise with the RBNZ. Oversee annual reinsurance reviews. Qualifications & Skills Required: Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the insurance industry. Deep insurance sector experience and knowledge of the business drivers of an insurance company. Experience in regulatory reporting and working with actuaries. Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; Power BI experience is a plus.
