The Business This business has a steep history spanning over 40 years though it was somewhat recently acquired by a larger group who have invested considerably into the modernisation and development of the site.

Their existing product line has consistently generated stable revenue, however, through R&D and NPD they are branching out beyond their usual industry clientele into construction and civil engineering where a new product line has the potential to significantly increase revenue.
The Role They are looking for a personable yet driven Finance Manager to lead a modest finance function by way of facilitating and improving month end timelines and procedures, as well as, helping the business get a true handle on costing.
You will report directly to the Group CFO and as such be the most senior finance representative on site, hence your involvement in the site SLT will be vital, supporting with the strategic direction of the business.
Among other duties, you will be responsible for: Production of monthly management accounts Produce and where appropriate develop the Board Pack to provide insightful and timely reporting from across the business to the board.
Develop product and costing methodology to assist with job and product pricing Conduct margin analysis and other variance analysis to help determine the strategic direction of the business.
Be an active member of the site SLT, develop relationships with numerous internal stakeholders, helping them see the value of true partnership with an effective finance team.
Develop relationships with all the key external partners, including key suppliers, banking, audit and insurance.
Be the finance representative for the year end audit process and liaise with external personnel where required Support the business with the financial strategy and associated decision-making processes The Candidate Qualified, part qualified or QBE candidates encouraged to apply Preferably someone who has worked in a manufacturing environment, though those with credible and transferable experience are encouraged to apply Engaging style of communication with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels within the group.
Approachable with the ability to communicate financial information to both a financial and non-financial audiences.
Demonstrate a clear knowledge of 'good practice' within the finance function of a manufacturing, selling and marketing business.
Diligent approach with strong attention to detail.
Advanced Excel Skills & ability to work with ERP and modern IT systems.
