About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to manage our finance function in our Head Office in Christchurch. You will bring your financial management expertise to ensure that WMS Group meets legislative and tax requirements and has sound accounting and internal control policies, systems and processes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our strategic goals while managing finance systems and treasury activities.
You will be responsible for:
Financial Control: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, collaborating with department heads to align financial plans with organizational goals.
Treasury Management: Manage day-to-day treasury operations, oversee cash flow, and support liquidity planning to maintain a strong financial position.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to enhance performance.
Supporting the Chief Financial Officer as required.
About You
You will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification and studying towards or holding Chartered Accountant status with CAANZ or similar professional qualification.
At least ten years' experience in financial accounting.
Knowledge of relevant standards, principles, policies, systems and processes, procedures, guidelines, practice and regulations.
Team leadership experience.
Systems accounting knowledge.
