Finance Manager

Details of the offer

Do you believe New Zealand cities should be better places to work and live?
Do you believe we need more epic buildings?
Do you want to join a company that's doing something about this?
If so – we might want to meet you.
We're looking for a Finance Manager to help us on our quest.
Every day we wake up to find ways to bring more great properties to market.
We love property. We live and breathe it.
But we need more great people to help us – sometimes we're too ambitious for our own good – so we need help so that we can be as efficient and effective as possible.
Working from our central city office, you'll be surrounded by people with energy, drive, and a bit of banter too.
You'll have full responsibility for the group's finances, so you'll be making your own decisions and managing your own day – but we're not interested in someone who doesn't take ownership when things don't go to plan.
We have a lot of developments on the go which means there are always jobs in various stages of completion and no two days are the same.
There's a lot of financial work that needs to get done, preparing cashflow forecasts, and reporting on job profitability – so you should be a person who is organised, accurate, consistent and confident.
And, as the go-to person for all things finance, you'll be expected to muck in with some basic tasks like payroll, coding, and filing GST too.
We know we're asking a lot! But the right person will be a key part of our future plans.
In a nutshell – we need an investment-minded accountant. We need someone who will help keep us continuously well-funded and work with us to improve the property landscape in New Zealand.
Construction accounting experience is preferred, but not essential.
Whoever will help us, we guarantee will develop their skills in property investment and at the same time, help make New Zealand a better place to live.
Your application will include the following questions:
Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
How many years' experience do you have as a finance manager?
How many years of accounting experience do you have?
