As a Finance Manager for Volvo Construction Equipment, you'll play a pivotal role in steering our financial strategy, driving business performance, and ensuring our success for Volvo Construction Equipment (CE) in Oceania. The position oversees accounting, reporting, financial planning and analysis, compliance, commercial risk management, and tax and legal matters. This position ensures the business operates within regulations and achieves financial objectives while implementing strategies for growth and profitability. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Provide financial leadership at Volvo CE, ensuring optimal financial outcomes across all business functions, in line with regional and global strategic plans. Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships while delivering annual sales updates and timely communications. Overseeing accounting, tax, importation services, and corporate structure. Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. Managing month-end reporting, including the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and compliance with BCS and local reporting requirements (GAAP/IFRS). Reviewing indirect tax reporting (BAS) and adhering to reporting deadlines. Acting as company secretary, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations for Volvo CE Australia/New Zealand, including leading annual audits and statutory financial statement preparation. Your future team Reporting to the Volvo CE Head of Oceania Sales, you will work in a team of 3 to service the Australian and Oceania region. You will work alongside the Service Market Manager and the Commercial Manager, with a home base at our Head Office in Wacol. Who are you? To ensure success in this role, we believe the best applicant will hold most of the following: Extensive experience in financial management and accounting. A professional accounting qualification – CPA or CA. Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system, as well as knowledge of business analytic tools such as Power BI and Excel. Ability to financially analyze complex transactions and business situations with a strategic mindset. Ability to move and adapt in a fast-paced environment to successfully integrate new processes, acquisitions, or agencies into the Volvo CE Australia Finance function. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
