My client is a leading professional services firm based in the CBD, providing comprehensive solutions to a diverse range of clients in need of a Finance Manager for a long-term contract role with the possibility of being made permanent.
The team is committed to delivering excellence and driving success through innovative and tailored financial strategies.
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join my client's team on a long-term contract basis.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in financial management within the professional services industry and possess a strong ability to manage financial operations, reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the financial operations of the firm, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and variances to ensure optimal financial health.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to support business growth and profitability.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Support the audit process and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role within the professional services/corporate sector.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Familiarity with New Zealand accounting standards and regulations.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field (CA/CPA preferred).
