This rare opportunity is perfect for an experienced hands-on Finance Manager or Senior Company Accountant seeking to take on a challenging and highly rewarding position within a Tier 1 Finance Company, operating within a high volume market segment. Working closely with and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be accountable for managing all aspects of financial accounting, taxation, compliance, and governance for the Group while managing a team of 5 direct reports.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
Accountable to ensure all entities financial reporting month-end process including timetable, checklists, and review of results, ensuring timely completion of EOM activities.
Manage the delivery of a suite of regulatory reporting information that meets the needs of the various internal and external stakeholders.
Manage the coordination of and be the first line of questioning during the annual audit process.
Develop, maintain and update of accounting policies, including assessing the implications of changes in accounting standards and overseeing implementation of policy and process changes as needed.
Review processes, procedures, and systems to ensure a robust and sustainable financial and regulatory reporting infrastructure.
Maintain integrity of core systems by ensuring effective controls are in place.
Build up new processes, understand the inherent risk in each process, develop the effective controls framework to minimise the risk.
Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the senior management.
Ensure all taxation requirements are met with relevant Tax authorities.
Maintain the Tax governance framework per best practice.
Conduct regular reviews of tax processes and monitor for changes.
Manage tax consultants/advisors as and when required.
Management and leadership of direct reports including training & development. Work with the SLT to motivate, grow capability and increase team engagement.
Performance management, building strong relationships with direct reports.
Manage and maintain strong working relationships with key third parties.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Must Have:
CA qualified – minimum of 8 Years' experience.
Auditing experience.
Advanced spreadsheeting and modelling skills.
Flexible and adaptable with strong commercial/business acumen with experience in driving change.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge of the Automotive or Financial Services industry is preferred.
Well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Commitment to continuous improvement.
