The Role:
As the primary commercial lead and a key member of the senior leadership team, this dynamic role, reporting to the General Manager, offers a unique chance to participate in influencing the company's strategy for success. You'll navigate a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic financial oversight with hands-on execution.
In this position, you'll deliver insightful financial modelling for forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, while managing one direct report.
Your contributions will span from preparing monthly P&L and balance sheets, preparing and contributing to board papers, participating in Board meetings and providing commercial advice to the senior leadership team. You'll also oversee some HR functions, lead the Health & Safety committee and IT functions; ensuring efficient operations and compliance. Collaboration with internal and external partners will be key as you identify risks, seize opportunities, and contribute to ensuring the company's continued growth.
Skills & Expertise Required:
To thrive in this role, you will ideally have experience within the FMCG industry, though this is not essential. You should be a CA/CPA member (or equivalent) with good commercial experience at a senior level. Your expertise will cover all financial and accounting disciplines, including cashflow management, financial modelling, process improvement, proficiency in ERP systems, payroll administration and statutory compliance. Your strong commercial acumen and advanced Excel skills will be essential to providing valuable insights, creating impactful financial models and supporting decision making.
A self-starter with an exceptional eye for detail, you will be adept at prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment and balancing strategic planning with the day-to-day demands of the role. Your strong commercial acumen, effective communication, and collaborative approach will enable you to build robust relationships across the organisation. Integrity, empathy, and flexibility are key attributes you will need to bring to this role, ensuring your contributions align with the company's values and growth ambitions.
