About the role:
The company is a premium manufacturer of solutions to the commercial and industrial sector - a market leader in their field. As such, we seek a talented CA with a good solid grounding in either raw materials, engineering or technical manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities include:
Work closely with the General Manager to ensure the profitability, best practice and provision of in-depth reporting and analysis across the manufacturing operation
Work with manufacturing and supply chain to drive efficiencies in production, purchasing and stock usage maximisation and reduction of wastage
Profitability analysis in relation to the entire manufacturing process including quoting and costing
Preparation of manufacturing variances along with supporting analysis
Focus on supporting the introduction of projects for continuous improvement, including ROI calculations
Calculate holding costs/landing costs - provide feedback on order volumes/ volumetric FCL/LCL
Taxation and foreign exchange management
Presentations to the Board of Directors as required
Audit assistance, liaison with key internal and external stakeholders
Provide back-up to the Financial Controller as required for monthly reporting
About you:
You are CA qualified with a relevant degree majoring in finance - with proven relevant experience and achievements in the New Zealand market
You are innovative and ambitious, with a high degree of initiative
You have proven expertise in the manufacturing sector and strong skills in IT project management and business systems
You are passionate about systems and processes - experience with ERP systems is essential, in particular Dynamics AX, will be a major advantage
You are ready for a step up into a Finance Manager role, looking to amplify your experience alongside an exceptional mentor
