About the role
We're looking for a new Finance Manager to join our Auckland office. As our Finance Manager, you'll be leading financial and management reporting, providing key insights into financial reporting at a strategic level and leading a small team to maintain a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, your key responsibilities will include:
Lead, coach and mentor a team of 4 responsible for management reporting, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and leadership to provide financial advice and insights, including identifying financial trends to drive strong commercial outcomes.
Proactively recommend actions to improve financial systems, policies, and processes.
Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of management reporting, commentary, monitoring of performance against budgets and forecasts.
Lead the preparation of financial reporting for inclusion within the Head of Finance report to the Board.
Lead the engagement with external auditors during the year-end process, including overseeing the preparation of financial statements to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies in financial processes and systems.
Support the Head of Finance and Leadership Team by participating in strategic projects and initiatives to enhance business performance and effectiveness.
Your skills and experience
3+ years experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role, ideally within the professional services industry.
CA or CPA qualified.
Proven team leadership experience with the ability to drive a positive, inclusive and high performing culture.
Excellent communication skills and business partnering capability to provide financial analysis and recommendations with senior stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis with excellent Excel skills.
Strong problem solving capabilities and management of multiple, often competing, priorities and deadlines.
