Landpower and the CLAAS Harvest Centre network is the largest privately-owned farm machinery distribution network in Australasia. We sell and service machinery to farmers and their contractors from our locations throughout New Zealand and Australia.

Our Christchurch and Melbourne offices co-ordinate wholesale activities and provide support functions. As a family-owned business we recognise the importance and value of the long-term relationships that we have grown over the last 45 years with our international partners.
What's the job?
This is an exciting career growth opportunity for someone with strong financial accounting skills and commercial acumen. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for optimising the financial operations of our Wholesale business, delivering on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. You will provide robust group results to achieve clarity of cost and business performance. Key deliverables of the role will include:
Timely and accurate completion of consolidated month end reporting and annual accounts
Leading the annual audit process
Monitoring group working capital metrics and implementing strategies to optimise working capital
Closely monitoring of WIP balances and ensuring jobs are promptly closed and invoiced
Providing financial business partnering to Senior Management
Consolidation of the annual budgets and quarterly forecast for the Group
Assist with optimising and streamlining financial processes within the Group
Leading, coaching, and developing a committed team of finance professionals
Coordinating the Group insurance renewal
Who are you?
You are experienced with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management accounting or a similar role. You have a BA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. You have a professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA preferred). You have extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, auditing, working capital, and financial analysis. You have experience in managing month-end and year-end close processes including consolidation. You have advanced knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Oracle) and reporting tools (Tableau & Adaptive). You have excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, leadership and communication skills. You are detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
