Hotel: Auckland Airport (AKLAP), 2 Ascot Road, Mangere, 2022Position: Finance Manager and Business SupportBottom line? We are looking for a new Finance Manager and Business Support comfortable with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability. In return, we'll put our financial operations and the security of our hotel assets in your expert hands.Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:Managing and coaching your team to ensure the right person is always on the right task and deliver with compliance.Setting exceptional accounting practice standards and ensuring financial control procedures are ethical.Maximizing financial returns through financial analysis, data trends and market information – while budgeting accordingly.Enhancing the guest experience through improved payment options, inventory controls and financial dispute resolution.Maximizing cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances.Supervising clerical accounting employees in a full range of functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit/Collections, Purchasing, Audit, Payroll, BSC and/or Accounting Operations.What We Need From You:Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance.4-5 years' experience in hotel accounting/auditing with at least one year in an Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.Knowledge of accounting management duties e.g., negotiating hotel space and tenant leases, processing payroll, performing asset management duties, providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns etc.Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred.Must speak fluent English.Must meet the legal requirements to work in New Zealand.What You Can Expect From Us:We give our people everything they need to succeed.
