We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide insightful financial advice and analysis, supporting AgResearch's leaders in achieving their strategic goals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with diverse teams, leveraging your financial expertise to guide decision-making and ensure the organisation's financial sustainability.This position is being offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract to align with anticipated changes in the science system and internal movement within our organisation. Our vision is to drive economic prosperity by transforming agriculture while incorporating the fundamental concepts of sustainability, environmental responsibility, and Matauranga Maori.What you will be doingFacilitate costing and pricing processes, ensuring financial sustainability.Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial analysis and insights for science projects and other initiatives.Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.Develop and present operational reporting and analysis to stakeholders.Assist in preparing business cases for strategic investments.Regularly review and enhance financial practices and system integrity.Promote and uphold best practices in financial policy, processes, and systems.Your ideal backgroundYou are a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong analytical mind and a passion for partnering with stakeholders to drive meaningful outcomes.
