He angitutanga: The opportunity Auckland Council's Financial Advisory unit is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Financial & Business Performance team on a permanent basis. We're one of the largest financial advisory teams in the country, so this is a brilliant opportunity to become a trusted advisor to a government organisation making a difference in our very own Tamaki Makaurau.As a Business Partner, your advice will provide support to improve financial performance results and ensure financial structures are aligned to deliver organisational strategies. You can expect to focus on planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for departments and/or business units and provide performance insights. Specifically, this role will support our Group Shared Services division. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to work on helping the business understand and to promote financially prudent business decisions. You will be discussing financial topics with people from all walks of life, who are often non-financial. A key skill will be the ability to translate financial knowledge, analyse information and add commentary to aid internal and external stakeholders' understanding. The role entails coaching business staff to upskill their financial acumen and developing financial learning materials. He korero mou: About you This position requires experience in similar business partnering positions, ideally from within large and complex organisations.
