Through the building and operating of grid-scale solar farms backed by innovative supply arrangements for our customers we are leading the solar revolution across Aotearoa.360,000 solar panels on 350 hectares of land currently under construction, and that's just the beginning. We have recently announced the development of another 9 farms. These farms will feed into the power grid and then into thousands of homes and businesses across Aotearoa.This is a dynamic role in a high growth company that is moving and evolving at pace. We are a small team of people doing amazing things and now we are looking for the next person to join our finance team.As our Financial Business Partner & Group Accountant you will be responsible for leading the business planning process and preparing the consolidated monthly and annual accounts for Lodestone Energy. You will be the business partner for the Corporate GM's. In collaboration with the Head of Finance & Performance, you will set the standard and framework for group reporting.You will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting at Lodestone. To be successful you will require strong technical accounting skills and experience in producing monthly reports, IFRS compliance half yearly and annual financial statements. Additionally, you will be responsible for all the day to day finance operations, through a small cross functional team.This role has plenty of variety and the key responsibilities will include the following:Reporting framework and monthly reportingHalf year and annual reporting suiteLead the audit process & engagement with the AuditorBusiness planning and partneringEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and disclosure requirementsCompiling and submitting tax returns.What you'll bring to the role:Previous experience in the energy sectorPrevious experience as a Senior Accounting Manager or Business PartnerA minimum of 5 years financial accounting experience.Experience in developing and managing monthly reporting processStrong technical knowledge including IFRS standardsProven experience in producing half-yearly and annual accounts, familiarity with audit processes and engagement with external auditors.Strong communication skills with various stakeholdersA great work ethic where you can work independently but love being part of a teamBased in Takapuna, (with some hybrid options available) this is a great role in an innovative business where our people are an integral part of our exciting journey.
