ImpactLab's Finance and Operations Lead manages our financial functions and provides operational support to the business.
This role serves on the Senior Leadership Team to help ensure we are strategically minded with a financial lens.
This role will ensure efficient financial operations, contribute to strategic decision-making, and help maintain an optimal office environment for our teams in Auckland and Wellington.

Key Responsibilities: I.
Financial Management Budgeting and Forecasting Lead annual budgeting in collaboration with department leads and the COO.
Provide long-range financial forecasting and ensure timely reporting.
Engage with the SLT to provide financial insights and planning support.
Financial Reporting Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements and reports for the executive team and board.
Ensure compliance with NZGAAP and NZ IFRS standards and regulations.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable with Bookkeepers.
Cash Flow & Risk Management Conduct cash flow projections and manage liquidity for operational needs.
Implement strategies for effective cash and risk management.
Ensure adherence to financial controls and regulatory policies.
Expense Management Approve and monitor expenses, including team travel and credit card expenses.
Ensure compliance with expense policies and manage leadership expenses.
Tax Compliance Oversee all tax-related matters, including PAYE, GST, and Withholding Tax.
Work with external advisors on annual audits and year-end reporting.
Overseeing the RDTI process and working with our external finance partner.

Operational Support Process Improvement Collaborate with the COO to streamline business processes and operational workflows.
Collaborate with the Customer Tribe to support delivery process improvements and identify areas for efficiency.
Tactical Support and Risk Management Provide daily tactical and operational support to across the business to accelerate our strategy.
Manage the Risk Register and support the team in mitigate operational risks.
Project and Administrative Support Assist with customer project setup and administration across teams, including communication tools.
Provide critical review of customer outputs for grammar, clarity, and consistency.
Office and Facilities Management Ensure efficient day-to-day office operations in Auckland and Wellington.
Coordinate with facility service providers to maintain a safe, well-managed office environment.
III.
People Dynamics and Lead Support Team and Leadership Support Support the COO and CEO with executive level support, and support the SLT with coordination, scheduling, and meeting actions.
Oversee employee details management, including payroll processing, leave approvals, and policies.
Board Meeting Coordination Schedule, coordinate, and oversee agenda-setting for board meetings.
Manage board meeting logistics and ensure timely preparation and distribution of materials.
Facilitate communication between the board and executive team, and track action items.
Employee Support and Policy Administration Collaborate with COO (and external HR specialist) on employee hiring, contracting, and onboarding.
Administer payroll, leave management, and employee policies.
Requirements Qualifications Chartered Accountant with ~5 years of experience in financial management Experience in business management or operations management advantageous.
Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Skilled in data analysis tools and financial software, with strong commercial acumen.
Strong communication skills to present complex information clearly.
Demonstrated ability to lead and support teams effectively.
