Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki is a cultural leader in Aotearoa New Zealand. We are kaitiaki of a collection of over 18,000 artworks and present exhibitions of art from Aotearoa, across the Pacific and around the world to audiences in Tamaki Makaurau. Our purpose is to be a creative catalyst for art and ideas, offering transformational experiences that strengthen and enrich our communities.
As Pouako Maori | Maori learning specialist, you will develop and deliver Maori-medium learning experiences and programmes aligned with our captivating exhibitions. Drawing on matauranga Maori, evidence-based best practices, curriculum knowledge, and the specific needs of our visiting groups, you will design and deliver programmes that cater to a wide range of akonga Maori, from early childhood to tertiary education. Whether delivered onsite at the Gallery or through our outreach programmes, you will collaborate with our learning specialists and learning facilitators to ensure that every learner receives a memorable and enriching experience.
This new role is located in the Gallery's Akoranga | Learning team.
Salary range from $85,000 - $100,000, based on skillset and experience.
