Finance & Administration Manager

Dogs New Zealand (formerly the New Zealand Kennel Club) has been trading for over 130 years and is looking for a 12-month fixed-term Finance & Administration Manager, to cover a secondment.
The role may be extended or made permanent at the end of the fixed term.Dogs NZ is the largest organisation of dog owners in New Zealand, with a strong focus on healthy, active, well-mannered dogs.
Reporting to the Director Secretary, this is a broad and varied role encompassing the financial management of a Tier 2 Not-for-Profit organisation and the administrative needs of a membership organisation of almost 5000 members.You will be a pivotal part of the senior management team, within a small, collegiate structure.Responsibilities will include:Managing financial reporting, reconciliations and auditsSupporting the Director Secretary with ad hoc projectsLiaison with our investment brokers and property management committeesPayroll, GST and other Statutory ReturnsSupport membership service delivery and management of organisational processesFacilities and office management (incl H&S and staff welfare)Develop and enhance office policies and proceduresThis role will suit someone with the following experience/qualities:Strong financial and administrative expertiseAttention to detail and the ability to meet deadlinesExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to engage and coordinate within a team environment but also work independentlyWhat we offer:Opportunities for professional growth and developmentA dog-friendly office policyIf you are interested in finding out more about the role, please apply via the link.
