Based in Palmerston North, the role will see you out in the field as well as back in the workshop, performing both planned and non-scheduled repairs on a large range of both mechanical battery electric and internal combustion Forklifts. There are a significant number of different models within these two categories ensuring you have the opportunity to really develop and increase your skills.What will you be doing?Performing field & workshop-based planned maintenance repairs on mechanical battery electric and internal combustion Forklift trucks in accordance with standard operating procedures.Performing field & workshop-based non-scheduled repairs on mechanical battery electric and internal combustion Forklift trucks.Providing a high level of customer service and working towards set KPIs each day.Undertaking service and repairs within OEM guidelines.RequirementsAbout youIdeally, we're looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years' Material Handling Equipment experience, Auto Electrical, Diesel or Motor Mechanic experience, trade qualification, or hydraulics experience (or similar overseas qualification).To really shine in this role, you'll bring your customer-centric and solutions-focused attitude, as you support our valued customers with service they can trust. You'll work in a collaborative team environment, so being a team player and being prepared to support the team is essential. Being IT savvy and an agile learner will stand you in good stead. There will be manual handling required, and so you'll also need to be physically fit.Please note, a full pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test, as well as a valid drivers' license will be required.
