In the engaging role of Utility Arborist Team Leader, your responsibilities will extend across our expansive network area, stretching from southern Papakura to the coastal regions and down to Waikaretu. Your primary focus will be the trimming or removal of vegetation surrounding power lines and our assets.
As a Team Leader, you'll take operational responsibility of allocated works, demonstrating a comprehensive grasp of health and safety protocols. You'll take complete ownership and accountability for guiding and supervising a team consisting of approximately 3-4 crew members and contractors working alongside.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Either have Team Leader experience or demonstrated capability to step up and lead a team; climbing skills would be an advantage.
Demonstrate an uncompromised attitude to health, safety and wellbeing of yourself, team members and the public.
Be competent in using EWP's (training will be provided) and previous experience working around electricity networks.
Hold a formal Utility Arborist qualification or be willing to undertake training to achieve this.
Have extensive knowledge and experience of vegetation practices.
A full current and clean NZ Drivers licence, holding up to class 4/5 would be an advantage.
Have strong communication skills and ability to establish effective working relationships.
