Job Description

ENGEO is looking for an entry level Field Representative Cadet to join our Auckland office. We currently have an exciting, dynamic and diverse workload across New Zealand, Australia and California and we are interested in hearing from enthusiastic people who want to make a difference and be part of our journey.

About this position:

This position will involve exposure to a wide range of geotechnical project types and will primarily involve geotechnical hand held field investigations which involve heavy lifting and manual handling of both hand tools and heavy motorised equipment including Nuclear Density Meters, Window Sampling, Hand Auger boreholes, Scala Penetrometer and Shear Vane tests.

This is an exciting and physically challenging position that offers a unique opportunity to develop and diversify your field knowledge.

Through on-site training and guidance, this position will also include:

Logging of soil and rock samples;

Uploading information onto our computer network;

Field work planning;

Management of subcontractors;

Collecting visual data pertaining to land damage;

Other tasks as required.

To be considered for this role you will need:

No previous experience as on the job training will be given for all aspects of the work;

A Full drivers licence;

A willingness to travel to other parts of New Zealand for work on a short term basis.
