Noodle Canteen is not your average noodle takeaway – it is a hidden gem. Our dishes are an assortment of wonderful flavours, mouth watering noodles, and uniquely textured vegetables that makes it different from any other noodle bowl in town. Qualifications & Experience A minimum of 3 years experience in the preparation of Southeast and East Asian cuisines. Tasks & Responsibilities Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies. Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. Discussing food preparation issues with the Manager and kitchen staff. May freeze and preserve foods. Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures with Cooks. Preparing and cooking food. Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations. May select and train staff. Preparing Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, and Filipino cuisine. This is a full-time permanent role with a guaranteed 30 hours and a maximum of 40 hours of work per week, rostered. Remuneration is at $29.66/hour.
